ABOUT US

studiopiperov is an architectural аnd interior design practice based in Sofia, Bulgaria.

It was found by Julian Piperov in 2004 and managed to acquire a diverse portfolio of projects with both local and international clients. The main objective for all projects is the quest for individual approach to spatial problems. Our design philosophy is firmly grounded in the belief that a successful design requires sensitivity to the unique and contextual aspects of each project as well as good utilization of the space.

We have extensive experience in base building architectural design as well as residential and corporate interiors. Our projects have been regularly published and awarded by the local architectural press: Bravacasa, Nash Dom, Idealen Dom. It was winner of Dibla Design Award 2019 for Commercial Interior and our projects have been nominated three times for the prestigious German Design Award.

As a recognition for the quality of our work studiopiperov was one of the few arhitectural practices which represented Bulgaria in the world’s most significant architectural forum – the Venice Architectural Biennale in 2008.

Prior to its current practice Julian Piperov was the Lead Designer for Bonstra Architects, Washington, DC (currently Bonstra Haresign Architects - www.bonstra.com) and his projects won 4 annual awards of American Institute of Architects.
