The 140 m2 two bedroom apartment has two bathrooms and a long panorama terrace in front of the living area. The project brief by the owners – a young couple is for a comfortable and functional home with a classic touch. The classic style is interpreted by the use of panelled doors, raised ceilings with up-lighting, high-quality natural materials, polished bronze. The colour and material palette features smoked oak, light beige, pearl finish with some black for contrast. The white entrance lobby is accentuated by a spectacular custom glass and bronze lighting installation - its image is doubled by the full-height mirror wall at the end of the long corridor. The existing concrete column in the centre of the living area is turned into a visual accent with a backlit onyx cladding. An ethanol fireplace clad in matched Calcutta Gold marble is the centre piece of the spacious living room. The furnishing is eclectic – a combination of custom sofa and master bed with clean lines and more eccentric glossy tables and lighting strike the wright balance with the built-in cabinets concealing all the appliances and air-conditioning units. Both designers and clients agreed on a uniform and clean vision with a homey feel.
