Located near the prestigious Golden Mile area of Marbella, Spain, this 240 m2 ground floor apartment has direct access to its own tropical garden with a small swimming pool.
The mild climate implies an organic merge "inside/outside" of the three main areas of the interior: the living room in a covered outdoor terrace, the master bedroom in a bioclimatic pergola in front of the pool and the kitchen in the patio with an outdoor barbecue. A completely new landscape design of the garden will be implemented by reintroduction of natural grass, which was replaced with artificial one by the previous owners. The starting point when choosing the color palette for the living room and the main bedroom are the two paintings by Dimitar Genchev, newly purchased from Sariev Sofia Gallery. There are several elements in the interior that make a visual and conceptual connection with the local Andalusian architecture and culture: The backlit ceramic screens made of Celosia bricks by Mutina in the living and dining room are inspired by the exquisite stone Moorish grilles of the Mosque – Cathedral of Córdoba. A subtle oriental flair in the living area is also brought by Jan Kath's Bidjar carpet from the Erased Heritage series.
