The 160 sq.m. apartment is located on the top floor of one of the old, well preserved buildings from the first half of the last century. It has an unobstructed view of the rooftops of central Sofia and a careful balance between urban loft atmosphere, bohemian mood and a tribute to the past.
The living room is open with clearly defined areas – seating and TV zone, dining room, home office. A model of the installation of Pravdoliub Ivanov Thought within a Thought within a Thought is a graphic background of Charles and Ray Eames' Aluminium Lounge Chair in white leather. The kitchen island with a stone ledge turns into a bar suitable for a quick breakfast or a drink. The upholstered bar stools are by Montis. Above the bar - Clusterlamps by Moooi. A sculptural wavy suspended ceiling hangs above the kitchen. On the wall - Sick Kiss by Stefan Nikolaev. The dining area located opposite the kitchen island is a balanced composition of Jean Nouvelle's minimalist Less table and comfortable chairs upholstered in leather by Porro. The rotating two-sided TV module is custom made. The master bedroom has clean lines and simple volumes and is filled with abundant natural light. The pendant lamp is Moon Lamp by Werner Panton. The centrepiece of the spacious en suite bathroom is the free-standing bathtub from Istanbul collection of Ross Lovegrove for Vitra. The adjoining rotating table/shelf is form the same collection, above the bath - a hanging lamp by Dark. A guest bathroom clad in white marble is located near the entrance area. The Alaska White marble cladding and the Istanbul series appliances with their futuristic shapes create a feeling of lightness.
